Get to know Ranch and Coast Plastic Surgery: An interview with Paul Chasan MD and Cameron Francis MD.

Tell us your backstory: What was your path to owning a business in Del Mar Village? Did you grow up here? Why did you choose Del Mar Village to set up shop?

Del Mar is and has always been my favorite surf spot. I wanted to set up my office in a community with proximity to the ocean and centrally located. I have found just that and have had the chance to flourish in the Del Mar area.


Tell us about your business. What should people know about it? What makes it unique?

Ranch and Coast Plastic Surgery is dedicated to the highest level of the artform of aesthetic surgery as well as the best patient experience. We strive to make every patient happy while paying the utmost attention to patient safety and patient satisfaction. Our motto is world class plastic surgery in your own backyard.


What is one menu item or product you are most known for or is particularly special to you?

Rhinoplasty and revision breast surgery. These procedures require a high level of skill and expertise. My personal journey as an accomplished plastic surgeon has allowed me to perfect my skillset which has led me to be an expert in both of these procedures.


Tell us one fun fact about your business most people don't know.

Our building was once a popular Mexican restaurant well known in the area!


What do you love about Del Mar Village?

I love feeling and seeing the strong sense of community and care for our shared neighborhood. To see how much Del Mar has grown and evolved over the years while simultaneously remaining the same quaint place we all know and love. Whether that is the village’s increasingly impressive restaurant selection, summer music events, or year-round beach activities- my favorite weekends involve my adult kids coming back home to visit and spending the weekend eating and exercising.


How would you spend the perfect day in Del Mar? Where would you go? What would you eat or do?

I would head to the Del Mar Plaza for a delicious lunch. After this I would take a nice long bike ride up the coast and enjoy the spectacular views. To close out the day I would head to Sbicca for a nice dinner.
